SOULSCAPE
"The work of Mardene inspires me to look at reality within the dream, and vice versa, with newborn sight. I am dumbfounded at the vibrant spirit, still alive in the words she painted upon the vast canvas of the soul. It is as if reading her work instigates in me the need to dip my pen in the colours of the rainbow and rewrite all I have ever written, for added luster." Myra Lochner, 2012
Quatrain
she played with a red ball in the street
letting it bounch up and down
but then Jesus came along
leading her away by her young hand
Art museum
I art through the museum
and bundle the colors deep inside me
my eyes brush over the paintings
and expressionistic I become part of it
my entire existence rides see-saw
and drugged I cannot get enough
I frame my thoughts
and varnish it-
for now
tomorrow
and the days after tomorrow-
within my dreams
